Kigali to host E Africa business forum

Over 30 international speakers will address the East Africa International Business Forum, which will be held in Kigali, in Rwanda, at the end of October. The two day forum would gather participants participants from East Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia.

Rwanda President Paul Kagame stated that the form would explore new opportunities for investment partnerships across East Africa, including Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi.

The theme of the event will be 'Trade and investment opportunities, East Africa – One market, one destination', and it will explore East Africa’s progress towards a single market. Kagame noted that the forum would also help to identify the best investment opportunities for the creation of greater wealth in the region.

Separate sessions will discuss issues such as infrastructure development, trade and the movement of goods and services, investment climate, and the accessibility to finance for development in East Africa, and would be chaired by international experts in relevant fields.
