Sudan: President Al-Bashir to inaugurate Kenana Ethanol Factory

President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, will inaugurate next Wednesday the Ethanol Factory of Kenana Sugar Company which will produce 65 million liters that will increase gradually to 200 million liters during the coming two months. The Ethanol Factory is regarded as the first of its kind in Africa.

In a statement to SUNA, the delegate member of Kenana Sugar Company, Mohamed Al-Mardi Al-Tigani, said that the factory's inauguration will be attended by the First Vice President of the Republic and the Vice - President, federal and state ministers, senior officials along with businessmen.

He said that the participants at the inauguration ceremony include the Ministers of Finance, Trade and Industry in Brazil and Saudi Arabia, the share-holders in Kenana Sugar Company, officials of the Sudanese Sugar Company, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Sudan, directors of the Arab institutions, companies and funds. Al-Tigani said that the ethanol industry will be a new contribution to the no-petroleum exports of Sudan.
