Egyptian delegation in Libya to promote tourism investment

The Libyan secretary of the board of tourism and traditional industries met in Tripoli on Tuesday with the chairman of the Egyptian general institution of tourism to discuss issues dealing with relations between the two countries in the fields of tourism and investments in the area, APA learns here.

Source from the Libyan tourism institution pointed out that the two officials also discussed the possibilities of joint ventures in tourism between the two countries.

The Egyptian delegation which is currently on a five day visit to Libya comprises experts, specialists and representatives of the Egyptian union of trade chambers, tourist companies, hotels, artists and journalists.

This is part of a series of Egyptian tourist caravans visiting several Arab countries to promote tourist investment opportunities in Egypt.

The chairman of the Egyptian general institution for tourism told the press that Libya is in the forefront of the countries which contribute to Egyptian tourism.

He added that the number of Libyan tourists who visited Egypt last year was about 450,000.
