ANC president to visit Zambia and Mozambique

ANC President Jacob Zuma will lead ANC delegations on visits to Zambia and Mozambique from 28-31 July to further strengthen and consolidate the ANC's strategic relations on the continent.
On 28-29 July, Zuma will be in Lusaka, Zambia, attending the Global Southern Africa International Dialogue 2008.
The conference is hosted by the Commonwealth Partnership Movement and the Zambian government, and brings together current and former Heads of State and government, business, labour, civil society, media and other key players to discuss global challenges.
The 2008 theme is "Smart Partnership in Economic Development and Diversity: New perspectives on transforming communities through realising national visions".
Zuma will be accompanied by Max Sisulu, chairperson of the ANC National Executive Committee (NEC) economic transformation subcommittee.
On 30-31 July, Zuma will lead an ANC delegation to Maputo, Mozambique to strengthen relations with the ruling party, FRELIMO. He will be accompanied by:

The Mozambican visit forms part of the programme of the ANC to revitalise and strengthen relations with fraternal former liberation movements in the continent and beyond. It also in line with the decisions of the 52nd ANC conference in Polokwane to consolidate strategic partnerships which would help the ANC to realise its strategic goals, while also contributing to the consolidation of the African agenda.
