One of the world’s biggest energy specialists, the French group Suez, will carry out a study to assess Seychelles’ current and future capability to produce utility services, a communiqué from the Ministry of Finance announced yesterday.
One of the world’s biggest energy specialists, the French group Suez, will carry out a study to assess Seychelles’ current and future capability to produce utility services, a communiqué from the Ministry of Finance announced yesterday.
The comprehensive study, commissioned by the Seychelles Government, is in keeping with its mission to provide better public services, the communiqué said.
The study will look at production, generation and distribution and sales of electricity, water and sewerage.
A government spokesman said: “Given the critical factor of the two components in the country’s development, we need to plan long term in these two areas”.
