Ethiopia - MSTE’s newly furbished building begin service at Djibouti Port

The newly furbished building at Djibouti Port has begun rendering service, Djibouti Branch of the Maritime Transit Service Enterprise (MSTE) said.

Branch manager, Alemayehu Kebede told ENA that MSTE has spent two million Djiboutian franc to purchase and maintain the building, one of the recognized buildings by the UNESCO in Dijibouti.

He said some 85 percent of the maintenance work has already finished.

Besides ,the construction of a 19-storey modern building the enterprise launched at a cost of 151 million Birr is underway with a view to expanding its services in Djibouti Port.

The port has been executing various expansions and upgrading activities aiming at facilitating the import-export trade. It has also recently constructed a new container terminal at Duralle.

MTSE has been working for the last forty years at the port.
