WTO review of EU Trade Related Assistance
Regional review on aid for trade sees solid and substantial increase in EU trade assistance to Africa and reaffirms support for regional integration - Dar-Es-Salaam, 2 October 2007
The European Commission participated in a two day WTO review of Trade Related Assistance (TRA), 1-2 October, for the African region. The review will bring together governments, donors, international agencies, and the private sector to share experiences, identify key priorities for strengthening capacity and emphasise the importance of comprehensive trade strategy at both national and regional level. The European Commission, which is the single largest worldwide donor of Trade Related Assistance is fully committed to supporting regional integration processes in Africa and to increasing substantially its aid for trade in the region.
